Distributed sensing with

fiber optic

Measuring every meter over many km

Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS), Distributed Strain Sensing (DSS) or Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) are fully distributed systems, sensing one or more external parameters over the entire fiber length. That can measure up to several tens of kilometers.

The back-scattered laser light provides temperature, strain or sound data. Fluves calculates parameters such as water flow, bathymetry, pressure or leakage on each and every meter along the entire fiber length.
